Rev. C. A. Sandoval (aka, Pastor Chris) is an ordained minister and was born in Chicago to Cuban and Guatemalan parents.
He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and worked as an engineer before receiving his Master of Divinity from Westminster Seminary California.
Having lived and worked in great cities like Chicago, Miami, Boston, Austin, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Hong Kong, Pastor Chris is a 'city boy' but also an 'outdoor junkie' who loves hiking, camping, and getting lost in the US national parks.
Nuevo Pueblo Ministries is a Christian community of young Hispanics and their friends that is not only evolving culturally and socially, but is also spiritually changing together by God's grace and peace.
We are:- a changing community rooted in God's unchanging Holy Word.
- a new community connected to historical Christianity.
- a local community united to Christians throughout Chicago, the Midwest, the US, and the world.
- we all desperately need God's grace (mercy and free love) for the forgiveness of our sins and for growth in our love for Him and others.
- we all urgently need God's peace (healing and restoration) for spiritual and physical wholeness and for reconciliation with Him and others.
- we can receive God's grace and peace only through faith (belief and trust) in Jesus Christ, who alone can rescue us from the penalty of our sins and the brokenness of our lives.
- to be a Christian community that is together changing Chicago's broader Hispanic community with God's grace and peace.
